Welcome to the Romantic table for two Blog Hop. I am so excited and happy to be with you today to share my Black and Red Valentine Tablescape as part of Day 3 of this week's Romantic Table for two Blog Hop hosted by Chloe of Celebrate and Decorate. This is my first time to be part of the blog hop and I am so excited and honored to be featured with such a wonderful and talented group of bloggers.
If you are visiting my blog for the first time, I welcome you to Fjolla's Table and I'm so happy you're here.Be sure to scroll to the end of this post to view the schedule and links of bloggers that are participating.I hope you will take the time to visit them all to get ideas for your Valentine table.
Handcrafted decor makes a perfect Valentine's Day table setting.I am a huge fan of handmade tablescapes. Not only the handmade tables are unique ,they are also more heartfelt because of the effort that goes into creating the look. For this Valentine I have chosen to create a romantic tablescape mixing red the color of love and black for more drama look.In this post i will present you simple, inexpensive items to decorate a beautiful table that could help you to create a memorable Valentine's Day.
Taking a DIY approach to my decorations for Valentine's Day allowed me to customize the look and feel of my romantic spirit, so I highly recommend adding a crafty touch to your table. As you see I used tissue flower Pom-Poms instead of fresh flowers. This is a cheapest way and more funny way of decorating. I made these pom-poms from 3 layerd tissue paper one day before because they need little more time .You have instructions on Pinterest.
For the centerpiece you can use branches, they are always in style and you can find them everywhere.Give them more expensive look with gold spray paint.Plus it will add some height and glam to your centerpieces. Candlelight's are also spray painted with gold.
Instead of using a table runner I'v made this gold foil hearts. I used gold foil for more shiny effect. The contrast is high and this shiny gold add more glam while the drama of the black table grounds it all.
For my place settings I used gold chargers, Black and red plates with big red tissue pom-pom flower on top. This striped black and white napkin gives more stylish touch to this romantic tablescape.
I finished the table decoration with this DIY hearts.Because my table was sett just for two ,I have decorated the back of this two chairs with DIY hearts made from red crafted paper and the same gold foil.
I hope by sharing some of the things that I did you will be inspired to throw a "Love Dinner" for your loved one.
Once again,a big thank you to Chloe for inviting me to join this blog hop! Please make sure to visit everyone on the tour, all links are listed below. Happy Valentine!

Fjolla, you have most definitely achieved a gorgeously dramatic tablescape here! As soon as I opened the post, that was exactly the first word that came to mind to describe it. The red flowers and the striped napkins really pop, while the gold and silver mix creates a nice tension in the overall composition, which really appeals to me. Fine job, and it's really nice to get acquainted with you and your blog. I look forward to future posts.
